Check out the reflections that were coming off of the sand that afternoon! Coronado is great for that because the sand on the beach is very fine (almost like powder) and it holds water very, very well. Low tide is a great time to shoot!

As the sun was starting to set, we started having some fun… which is the point of each and every session that I shoot.

We even had time to get a little dirty, which anyone who wants pictures shot on the beach should never be afraid of.

What a great weekend! I spent Saturday afternoon shooting family portraits for an awesome family who had come to San Diego for vacation. I had a great time meeting and interacting with them and we got some great shots!

I love shooting with families and kids on Coronado Beach because the surf it usually a bit more tame, so I don’t have to worry so much about kids getting knocked over by a rogue wave.
